The First Annual Natalie Acres Boot Scootin' Boogie Blog Tour

Please join me in welcoming Natalie Acres as she makes a stop here on her first Annual Natalie Acres Boot Scootin' Boogie Blog Tour.

Also, Ms. Natalie will be giving away prizes so be sure to comment on her interview and her excerpt blog. The more you comment, the more chances you have to win!!!
INTERVIEW QUESTIONS:

1) Links to website and list of books with purchase links.

Siren-Bookstrand
ARE
Barnes and Noble

2) What was your first published book? Looking back, is there anything you’d change about it?

Writing as Natalie Acres, my first published book was Sex Party. Even though the book was 100,000 words, there was still a lot of story left to tell. The novel could’ve easily have been 130,000 words and I should’ve kept writing.

3)Where do you get your ideas?

I have a bank of manuscript ideas. Collected over the years, many of my ideas materialize while I’m driving down the road, others when I’m trying to sleep, and still others while I’m writing, working on another project altogether.

4)What hinders your writing? (distractions? noise?)

Change. I’m a creature of habit.

5) What genre are you most comfortable with? What would you like to explore?

I’m most comfortable writing about contemporary cowboys, athletes, and gamblers. I grew up with all three. As far as what I’d like to explore? I’m comfortable where I am right now.

6) Are you a by-the-seat-of-your-pants kind of writer, or do you have to use an outline to put your collective thoughts into some semblance of common sense?

I’ve used outlines and prefer to use them for my novels, but very often fly by the seat of my pants.

7) Which of your books is your favorite? Why?

It’s a toss-up between Cowboy Boots and Unfinished Business and Bang the Blower. I’d probably stay with Bang the Blower in the end. The novella is a story filled with hope, courage, commitment, and love.

8) Do you incorporate some of yourself into your characters? Personality traits? Likes? Dislikes?

I think there’s always a little bit of a writer in some of their characters.

9) What do you think is the perfect hero/heroine? Why?

My perfect hero is rough around the edges. He typically has flaws. He’s most likely an alpha male willing to do anything to protect the woman he loves.

10) What is your latest release? Please share the blurb and purchase info with us.

Cowboy Boots and Unsettled Debts, Book Three in the Cowboy Boots series releases on November 7, 2011:

Book Blurb:

Seduction turns deadly when Abby Rose, an agent with the Underground Unit, decides to put a provocative spin on revenge. Her plan to sleep with a cartel leader backfires when fellow operatives refuse to let Abby face her enemy alone.
Abby’s fellow agents begin the fight of their lives. After discovering Abby will use her body to lure in the man who killed her father and their command leader, seven highly trained operatives cope with high tensions as each man comes to terms with feelings they never acknowledged.
This team isn’t fighting for another cause or plotting the best way to take out their mark. The stakes are much higher. These men will take up arms and meet their greatest challenge as they work together to protect the woman they admire and love.
11) What do you have in the works?

Readers can expect more Cowboy Boots and Cowboy Sex books. Additionally, Sex Addict, the sequel to Sex Junkie is on the way in December.

12) Do you have any suggestions/comments for prospective authors?

Be true to yourself and your writing voice. Pursue your dreams and do it your way. Dare to be different and you’ll be much happier with your choices when you finally succeed.

JUST FOR FUN:

1) What is the sexiest or most erotic thing someone has said to you?

“I don’t want to be your friend. I want to be the man you can count on, the man you dream of. I want to be more than your friend.”

2) If you could be an animal, what would it be? Why?

That’s easy. I’d want to be a wild horse and run free.

3) If you had super powers, what would they be? Why?

The power to heal the sick. I can’t stand to see someone suffer.

4) If you could be an immortal, what would you want to be? Why?

If I were immortal, I’d want to be Sookie. *Grins* And no, it has nothing to do with her powers. Anyone want to guess why I’d love to be Sookie Stackhouse?

5) Is there anywhere you’d like to visit? Why?

Ireland. I’d love to visit the countryside there.

6) Do you have a crush on any actor/actress? Who?

Oh my goodness yes. I’d love to meet Charlie Hunnam. I’m pretty certain we’d hit it off, if he only knew where to find me. I’m convinced we’d become the next Demi and Ashton. *Smiles* If any of you know Charlie, tell him there’s an East Tennessee writer about eleven years his senior patiently awaiting the opportunity to meet him. Oh and please feel free to share my email address if he needs it: natalieacres@yahoo.com.
Thank you for the interview, Shannon. I enjoyed spending time with you today!

*Be sure to check out her post for Cowboy Boots and Unsettled Debts*

Great interview, Natalie, and I so agree about Charlie. Watching him every week is pure pleasure. I am guessing Sookie because of Alcide, maybe?? He totally does it for me, lol.
